Nouns Identification method-II                                                                                                                      
Nouns can be identified by the presence of signal word such as the.

Example: (The nouns are bolded)
·         He catches the ball.
·         The students ask questions.
·         The teacher corrects marks.
·         The meeting was cancelled by the committee.
·         She found the answer to the question.
·         Please open the window.

Nouns Identification method-III

SVO format sentences. Here subject and object are always nouns.

Example:  
·         They are playing cricket.
       (subject)   (verb)     (object)

·         Kumar watches film.
         (subject)   (verb)  (object)

·         The match was stopped by the rain.
    (subject)     (verb)               (object)

·         The tree gives shadow.
(subject) (verb) (object)

·         The students wrote the exam.
       (subject) (verb)      (object)





Nouns Identification method-IV

Nouns may be made plural, usually with the suffix -s or –es

Examples:     -s
·         Books
·         Pens
·         Pats
·         Students
·         Buildings
-es
·         Boxes
·         Buses
·         Branches
·         Lunches
·         Classes


Nouns Identification method-V

Nouns show ownership with the addition of an apostrophe with ‘s’ and, sometimes, an apostrophe only.

Singular nouns show their ownership with the addition of apostrophe with ‘s’.

Plural nouns show their ownership with the addition of apostrophe only.

Example:  
                 ·         bookss pages  (Wrong)                         books pages  (Correct)
                 ·         five studentss essays (Wrong)              five students essays (Correct)
                 ·         teacherss documents (Wrong)              teachers documents (Correct)
                 ·         computers hard disk. (Correct)
                 ·         babys dress. (Correct)
