Functions of Noun Part 02

3)    Nouns are indirect objects. 

These nouns receive the direct object.

Example: -

·         Kholi threw Dhoni the ball.

·         Srilanka won India the last match.

·         Kumar gives Ravi the money.

·         Teacher checked students the marks.

·         The government gives students the books.

·         They donate blood bank the blood.

·         Students pay registration the money.

·         The sun gives moon the light.

·         The manager increased labors the salary.

·         My mother cooks me the meals. 

4)    Nouns are objects of prepositions.                                                                 

These nouns follow the prepositions in prepositional phrases.

Example: -

·         They play cricket in the ground.

·         I met my friend at market.

·         We will meet on tomorrow.

·         We should save water for the future.

·         Shajith gives money for poor.

·         The plan was executed by the committee.

·         I sent a letter to my friend.

·         She dances well on the stage.

·         He reached the city near Colombo.

·         We went a trip on vacation.
